Pathmeads (through PCHA) pioneered the use of leased accommodation
for temporary housing in 1985 and has since become one of the
leaders in the field, innovating and developing ways to use
property to meet demands from local authorities to house statutory
homeless families.
Temporary housing now forms a core activity in the Genesis Housing
Group and directly employs approximately 220 staff. Pathmeads
currently has contracts to acquire units onto leasing schemes for
nine London Boroughs, and we manage properties in fourteen London
Boroughs.
By successfully winning contracts and tenders, negotiating with our
client Boroughs, and maintaining the loyalty of our landlords, we
now maintain a portfolio of over 6,000 properties making us the
biggest provider of this form of temporary housing in the
country.
Our detailed knowledge of the property market in the areas we work
has been an important factor in ensuring we deliver the properties
as required by our client Boroughs.
We have a dedicated business team which procures over 1,000 new
properties each year. We employ a highly experienced team of
acquisition negotiators. One of these negotiators is nominated to
take the lead responsibility for each Borough area to provide a
responsive one to one service to our
landlords.
